New CIPD qualifications are now available
CIPD Qualifications
In January 2010 the CIPD announced they were phasing out their current suite of HR and L&D qualifications and replacing them with a range of new qualifications that meet the needs of today’s modern HR and Learning & Development professionals.
Both these new qualifications are at Level 3 on the NQF and are available immediately from DPG either as open programmes for individuals or as in company programmes for organisations with 6 or delegates.

What do they look like?
We are now offering new qualifications at two levels:
Foundation Level
Certificates in:

· Learning and Development Practice (Download Further Information Now)
Intermediate Level
Diplomas in:
· Learning & Development Management (Download Further Information Now)
Flexibility and relevance
If you work for an organisation with 6 or more people who want to study for the same qualification we can come to you and offer a customised and branded version of the programme.
The new qualifications highlight the importance of understanding the business and context within which HR and L&D now operates, and the roles of HR and L&D in driving sustained organisational performance. Our certificates and diplomas contain a range of units specially selected and aligned to the career needs and aspirations of todays HR and L&D professionals.
What does this mean for existing qualifications?
These changes don’t affect individuals who are already studying for an existing CIPD qualification. There is no requirement to start again or move over to the new qualifications. We have updated the content of our programmes on a regular basis to ensure that they reflect good and emerging practice in human resource management and learning & development. Therefore existing programmes are still relevant and will lead to a qualification that is highly regarded by employers and is recognised towards CIPD membership.
Anyone studying on a current programme must complete their qualification by 31 December 2013.
